Camaro Bumper

Set of four (4) 1974-77 Camaro bumper impact strip end caps.
These are reproductions of the original hard to find pieces found on 74-77 second generation Camaro Base Type LT RS and Z28.

The pieces are made from ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate), also called acrylic styrene acrylonitrile, an amorphous thermoplastic developed as an alternative to acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), but with improved weather resistance, and is widely used in the automotive industry. It is an acrylate rubber-modified styrene acrylonitrile copolymer. It is used for general prototyping in 3D printing, where its UV resistance and mechanical properties make it an excellent material for use in fused deposition modelling printers. (ASA description copied fro Wikipedia) Installation: To mount onto the bumper impact strip:

Loosen the nut behind the bumper.

Clean out any broken plastic pieces from the original part, dirt and rust.

Tighten the nut while pushing the part against the impact strip to minimize the gap.

Holding the top and bottom of the strip together may also help if the impact strip rubber tends to push away when tightening.

Part is held in place when the rear nut is tightened
